The invention provides a self-adjusting picking ladder. As the fixing plates are in threaded connection with the bottoms of the ladder pillars, the distance between each fixing plate and the bottom of the corresponding ladder pillar can be adjusted by rotating the fixing plate, and a leveling function can be achieved when the picking ladder is used on uneven ground; in addition, the area of each fixing plate is large, and the contact area between the fixing plate and the ground is enlarged, so that the entire picking ladder is relatively stable; the fixing belt can be winded on a tree trunk, so that the entire top of the picking ladder can be fixed onto the tree trunk; through the arrangement of the rotating shafts at the hinge parts on the pedals, the sub-pedals can be rotated, and a certain angle can be formed between the two sub-pedals.
