The invention discloses a low thermal conductivity ZrSiO4 composite ceramic coating preparation method, which comprises the following steps: 1)processing a matrix, 2)preparing a ceramic slurry, 3)spraying the slurry, 4)drying a sample, 5)pre-sinteringthe sample, 6)performing plasma spraying, and 7)performing heat treatment on the sample; the prepared low thermal conductivity ZrSiO4 composite ceramic coating can solve the problems of high heat conduction of the coating, ZrSiO4 decomposition and delamination splitting in prior art. The method can control the thickness of an inner coating and an outer coating by controlling the spraying frequency thermal spraying technological parameter, and can control the amount of porosity by control the addition proportion of polyvinyl alcohol.
