The invention relates to a sliding mechanism for an automotive sliding window and the automotive sliding window having better sealing performance. The automotive sliding window comprises window glass, guide rails arranged on the inner side of the window glass, the sliding mechanism matched with the guide rails in a sliding mode and movable glass fixedly connected with the sliding mechanism, wherein a ventilation hole for being matched with the movable glass in a sealed mode is formed in the window glass, the movable glass is suitable for vertical displacement with respect to the window glass and is sealed in the ventilation hole in a matched mode when displacing to the position aligned to the ventilation hole through the sliding mechanism on the guide rail, and it can be ensured that the movable glass is flush with the automotive window and sealing can be guaranteed after closing.
