The calcium oxide production technology comprises the steps that the calcium carbonate ores are selected and smashed into particles with the particle size ranging from 40 mm to 80 mm; calcination equipment is constructed, and a gas-burning shaft furnace lime kiln is selected; calcination preheating is performed, wherein mirabilite solutions are evenly sprayed on the ore blocks, the mass of the sprayed mirabilite solutions accounts for 3%-3.8% of that of the ores, and then the ore blocks are fed into the gas-burning shaft furnace lime kiln to be preheated at the temperature of 300 DEG C-380 DEG C for 30-50 min; after preheating is performed, the calorific value of gas is 860*4190 KJ/m<3>, the flow rate is 7000 m<3>/h, and calcination is performed for 1-1.5 h; the finished products are recycled.
