The low-temperature sintering zinc oxide varistor material is composed of, 91-98 mol% of zinc oxide and the balance additives. The additives comprise, in parts by mole, in the terms of element oxides, 0.50-2.00 parts of Bi2O3, 0.50-2.00 part of Sb2O3, 0.05-1.00 part of Cr2O3, 0.50-1.00 part of MnO2, 0.20-1.00 part of Co2O3, 0.20-1.00 part of NiO, and 0.05-1.00 part of Al2O3. The preparation technology possesses the advantages of being simple in technology, small in energy consumption, green, environment-friendly and the like, and possesses practicality and application prospect.
