The invention discloses a composite admixture capable of improving durability of ordinary concrete and a preparation method of the composite admixture. The composite admixture is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 40-50 parts of waste residues, 20-25 parts of tailings, 0.5-0.8 part of synthetic gypsum, 0.1-0.5 part of polyester fiber, 1-2 parts of silicon powder, 2-4 parts of powder and 1-5 parts of an activating agent. The invention further discloses a preparation method. The composite admixture has the beneficial effects that (1) the raw materials (coal ashes, waste residues, tailings and the like) are wide in source, available and low in cost; (2) 50% of cement in concrete is replaced, and the composite admixture has striking economic benefits and environmental protection benefits; (3) the concrete of the composite admixture is added, and the later strength (after 28 days) is lastingly and significantly improved; (4) the concrete of the composite admixture is added, the strength is well kept and the durability is greatly improved; and (5) the concrete prepared from the composite admixture has the characteristics of low porosity, low water thermalization, corrosion resistance, high compactness, high strength, scaling resistance and the like, and the cracking phenomenon is greatly improved.
