The invention discloses a technology for preparing a light porous material by mainly utilizing coal gangue, and cooperatively utilizing bulky solid wastes of municipal sludge, sludge in rivers and lakes, bottom mud and the like through the following processes of raw material preparation, burdening, mixing molding, drying, burning, cooling, maintaining, inspecting and the like. The prepared light porous material has the characteristics of relatively high strength, relatively small unit weight, relatively high porosity and the like, and can be used as a light building material or a filtration-adsorption material.
