The invention relates to the technical field of bridge manufacturing and especially relates to a circumferential seam work vehicle for steel bridges with variable cross sections. The work vehicle comprises a first vehicle body and a second vehicle body. The first vehicle body and the second vehicle body are respectively arranged at two sides of a steel bridge with variable cross sections. The first vehicle body and the second vehicle body are of the same structure. Each of the first vehicle body and the second vehicle body has a vehicle frame, a vertical walking unit, a horizontal walking unit, and a traction mechanism. The vertical walking unit is fixedly connected to the vehicle frame. The vertical walking unit is used to drive the vehicle to move vertically. The horizontal walking unit is connected to the vehicle frame. The traction mechanism is connected to the horizontal walking unit. The horizontal walking unit is driven to move horizontally by the traction mechanism. The vehicle frame is driven to move horizontally by the horizontal walking unit. The circumferential seam work vehicle for steel bridges with variable cross sections can freely move vertically along steel bridges with variable cross sections, successfully pass the variable cross sections of bridges and bridge piers, and reach different construction positions of circumferential seams. Thus, different construction requirements of circumferential seams are satisfied, large quantities of human and material resources are saved.
