Preparation method for high-purity ultrafine alumina used for lithium battery ceramic diaphragm
The invention discloses a preparation method for high-purity ultrafine alumina used for a lithium battery ceramic diaphragm. The method comprises the following steps: 1) preparing slurry with solid content of 20 to 60% from alpha-alumina powder with Al2O3 content of no less than 99.99% and a solvent, adding a surfactant accounting for 0.1 to 2.5% of the mass of the alpha-alumina powder and carrying out uniform mixing under stirring; 2) grinding the slurry to a desired particle size; 3) preparing powder from the ground slurry through spray drying; and 4) subjecting the powder obtained after spray drying to jet milling so as to obtain the high-purity ultrafine alumina powder with a particle size D50 of no more than 0.8 [mu]m, a specific surface area of 3.9 to 8.0 m2/g, a purity of no less than 99.99%, uniform granularity and good dispersibility. The method provided by the invention is simple to operate, green and environment-friendly and is mainly applied to a lithium battery diaphragm coating.
