The invention provides a preparation method of a foamed ceramic taking a microporous ceramic as a matrix. The method sequentially comprises the following steps: S1, preparing raw materials: taking 70-80 parts by mass of ceramic waste residue, 4-6 parts by mass of albite, 5-15 parts by mass of potassium feldspar, 8-12 parts by mass of talc and 0.3-0.5 part by mass of silicon carbide, and preparingthe raw materials; S2, ball-milling and pulping; S3, preparing a blank; S4, drying; and S5 sintering. According to the invention, the foamed ceramic is prepared by using the microporous ceramic capable of polluting the environment as the main raw material, so that the environment is substantially improved, and the production cost is reduced; and the microporous ceramic contains a large amount of SiO2 and Al2O3, and is a good raw material for preparing the foamed ceramic.
