The invention discloses an excavation construction method for a high road cutting beside an existing road. The excavation construction method includes the following steps that A, anchor rod construction is conducted on the side slope face of the existing road, and anchor rods are made to enter a road cutting rock mass needing to be excavated; B, a protective shed frame is built on the face adjacent to a slope and is connected with the anchor rods to form an integral structure, and a flexible protective frame is installed on the inner side of the protective shed frame; and C, step-by-step excavation construction is conducted on the road cutting. According to the excavation construction method, holding and supporting are conducted on loose earth-rock, falling towards the side of the existingroad after excavation, through the protective shed frame and the flexible protective frame, and the side pressure of the excavated loose rock mass can be uniformly transferred to the anchor rods through the protective shed frame and is then transferred to a side slope vertical wall stable rock layer through the anchor rods. By means of the method, it can be ensured that traffic of the existing road is smooth, and compared with a conventional disposal method, the construction cost can be saved, and safety accidents caused when excavation flying objects, rolling stone and the like fall into theexisting road can also be avoided.
