The invention discloses a method for designing a mix proportion of steel slag self-compacting concrete based on target shaping per viscosity and compressive strength of required concrete. The method is characterized in that steel slag is used as coarse aggregate, material cost is saved, a design drawing is provided as a mix proportion design guide, and simplicity and practicability of the method are improved. The target plastic viscosity of the mixture ranges from 3 Pa s to 15 Pa s, and the characteristic cube strength of the mixture at the age of 28 days ranges from 30 MPa to 80 MPa. According to the novel steel slag self-compacting concrete mix proportion design method, after the target plastic viscosity is determined, the ratio of the water content to the cementing material is calculated, then the content, the water content and the solid phase components of the cementing material are solved according to a design drawing curve, the actual concrete plastic viscosity is calculated andcompared with the target plastic viscosity, and therefore the requirement for the target plastic viscosity is met.
