The invention discloses a POSS functionalized alumina ceramic fiber and a sol-gel spinning preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the aluminum oxide ceramic fiber comprises the following steps: mixing a POSS monomer with a functional group with an aluminum source in an organic solution, adding a certain amount of a catalyst, stirring and reacting for a certain period of time, preparing the fiber through sol-gel spinning, and finally calcining to prepare the POSS functionalized aluminum oxide ceramic fiber. The aluminum oxide ceramic fiber is composed of aluminum oxide and a small amount of POSS, the diameter is 5-100 micrometers, the length is larger than 500 m, the breaking strength is 1-3 GPa, the modulus is 300-500 GPa, and the use temperature is 1200-1600 DEG C. The method overcomes the defect of poor manufacturability of the traditional method, and is beneficial to obtaining the high-temperature-resistant continuous ceramic long fiber.
