The invention discloses waterproof self-leveling mortar for a surface layer. The waterproof self-leveling mortar comprises the following components in parts by mass: 20-25 parts of white cement, 12-18parts of high-alumina cement, 3-5 parts of gypsum, 9-12 parts of coarse whiting, 40-45 parts of quartz sand, 0.1-0.4 part of a water reducing agent, 3.5-4.5 parts of rubber powder, 0.03-0.06 part ofa water retention thickening agent, 0.3-0.5 part of a defoaming agent, 0.09-1.2 parts of a retarder, 0.03-0.05 part of an early strength agent and 1-1.5 parts of a waterproof stabilizer, wherein the waterproof stabilizer is prepared from an organic silicon water repellent, a capillary crystalline agent and polyurethane powder. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the waterproofself-leveling mortar for the surface layer. The waterproof self-leveling mortar for the surface layer has the advantages of favorable flowability, favorable constructability, favorable wear resistanceand favorable water resistance, ensures strength, and can be applied to ground leveling for decoration, basements and the like.
