The invention relates to a building adopting a vertical air supply and horizontal air exhaust ventilation system. The building adopts an air isolation structure with a plurality of layers in the vertical direction and a plurality of passages in the horizontal direction, and the building comprises a fresh air distribution layer and a plurality of horizontal layers, wherein a plurality of air supplyand exhaust modules are arranged in the horizontal layers, the plurality of passages separate the plurality of air supply and exhaust modules through air, and each air supply and exhaust module comprises at least one functional space unit. The vertical air supply and horizontal air exhaust ventilation system adopts three-section type continuous air supply to horizontally press fresh air of the fresh air distribution layers, vertically convey the fresh air through air supply vertical shafts, expand each horizontal layer of the fresh air to replace dirty air, gather the dirty air of each horizontal layer and then exhaust the dirty air at each horizontal layer through a main exhaust outlet separately, and the ventilation problem of large-volume and ultra-large-volume buildings, namely, the problem of fresh air entry and dirty air exhaust is solved, and the technical objective of achieving the three-dimensional scale of the building, increasing the building volume, reducing the specific surface area, and increasing the volume fraction is achieved.
