The invention discloses a rail walking vehicle for rail grinding. The rail walking vehicle comprises a polisher base and a telescopic rod. Polisher pulleys are arranged on the lower end face of the polisher base. A left side frame is arranged at the lower ends of the polisher pulleys; a left guide wheel is arranged on the lower end surface of the left frame; a left side handle is arranged on the left side of the left side frame; a right side handle is arranged on the right side of the telescopic rod; a right guide wheel is arranged on the lower end surface of the telescopic rod; an angle adjusting frame is arranged on the rear portion of the polisher base; a transverse adjusting rod is arranged on the right side of the polisher base; the angle of a polisher support can be adjusted throughthe angle adjusting frame, so polishing of a weld of a rail, vertical abrasion polishing of the top surface of the steel rail and polishing of the counter from -30 DEG to 80 DEG on the steel rail areachieved; and a transverse adjusting rod is arranged on the right side of the polisher base, and the distance between the grinding machine and the rail can be conveniently adjusted through the transverse adjusting rod.
