The robot comprises a remote controller, a display, a main body, and amanipulator, a power device, a processor, a garbage recovery device and a nitrogen filling device which are mounted on the main body; and the display displays the state information of the robot in real time by receiving feedback signals of the processor, so that the state of the robot can be mastered in real time, the remote controller remotely controls the processor according to the state information of the robot, and a user can remotely control the robot conveniently. The manipulator picks up the garbage and puts the garbage into the garbage recovery device, after the garbage is full, garbage bags are sealed, nitrogen is filled into the garbage bags, the garbage bags full of the garbage float towards the water surface due to buoyancy, and the garbage bags full of the garbage float to the water surface to wait for salvage; and according to the salvage and recovery robot, underwater salvage operation can be achieved, and the underwater advancing efficiency and salvage efficiency of the underwater robot can be effectively improved.
