The invention provides a non-sintered basalt tailing brick and a preparation method thereof. The non-sintered basalt tailing brick is prepared from, by mass, 50-60 parts of basalt tailings, 40-50 parts of fly ash and 13-18 parts of alkaline excitant. According to the invention, the basalt tailings are excited by adopting the alkaline excitant, and the non-sintered tailing bricks with different strengths can be prepared through different proportions so that reasonable and large-scale utilization of tailing resources and solid waste resources is realized. The unconfined compressive strength of the basalt tailing brick prepared by the preparation method can reach 20.63 MPa at most; the basalt tailing brick prepared by the method meets the requirements of national standards of non-sintered garbage tailing bricks in the aspects of water absorption and the like, provides an appropriate thought for effective utilization of basalt tailings, brings reference for reasonable secondary utilizationof tailings and solid wastes, reduces energy loss and greenhouse effect, and can generate good social benefits, economic benefits and environmental benefits.
