The invention relates to steel box girder construction, in particular to a pushing construction method of a double-width steel box girder. The method comprises the following steps that A, a construction platform is erected; B, pushing equipment is installed; C, the left section of the steel box girderis pushed, and the steel box girder is jacked by 3-5cm by using a hydraulic jack after the pushingis finished; D, the pushing cushion block is arranged below the steel box girder, the hydraulic jack falls back, the pushing cushion block supports the steel box girder, and the pushing cushion blockis stressed; E, the walking type pushing machine is pulled to the right side through a winch, the step C and the step D are repeated, and pushing of the same section of the steel box girder is conducted; and F, the walking type pushing machine is transversely moved back and forth until the whole left and right multi-section steel box girders are pushed. The pushing work of the left and right steel box girders is completed by using one set of walking equipment, the construction is simple, the investment equipment is less, the left and right positions of the pushing equipment are freely switched, and the construction efficiency is high.
