The invention relates to a series type hybrid power system for a loader. The series type hybrid power system comprises a vehicle control unit, an engine, a generator, a battery system, motors, motor controllers and a charging controller, wherein the vehicle control unit is electrically connected with the engine through a wire harness, the engine is connected with the generator in a mechanical mode, the generator is connected with the charging controller through a wire harness, the charging controller is electrically connected with the battery system through a wire harness, the battery system is electrically connected with the motor controllers through wire harnesses, the battery system, the motor controllers and the charging controller are electrically connected with the vehicle control unit through wire harnesses correspondingly, and the motors are electrically connected with the motor controllers through wire harnesses. The series type hybrid power system has the beneficial effects that the first motor is additionally arranged and independently drives the loader to run, so that the working condition of the engine is single and stable, and fuel oil consumption is reduced; and thesecond motor is additionally arranged so that electric energy consumption can be reduced, and then fuel oil consumption of the engine is reduced.
