The polypropylene fiber aerated concrete block comprises: 20-30 parts of cement; 60-120 parts of lime; 200-250 parts of fly ash; 10-15 parts of gypsum; 0.5-1 part of aluminum powder; 0.1-0.5 part of a polypropylene fiber; 5-10 parts of bentonite; 300-500 parts of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, uniformly mixing the cement, the lime, the fly ash, the gypsum, the aluminum powder, the polypropylene fibersand the bentonite; S2, adding water and aluminum powder into the mixture obtained in the step S1, uniformly stirring, pouring the slurry into a mold, standing the mold in an environment with the temperature of 22 +/-2 DEG C and the humidity of 60 +/-10% for 3-4 hours, demolding, and cutting according to requirements; and S3, putting the cut building block into a 60-80 DEG C autoclave, carrying outsteam curing for 10-12 hours, cooling to room temperature, and standing for 7 days in a standard environment to obtain the building block. The polypropylene fiber aerated concrete block prepared by the invention has the advantages of high mechanical strength and light weight.
