The invention relates to the field of concrete additives and particularly discloses a compound water reducer, as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The compound water reducer is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 160-180 parts of a polycarboxylic acid mother liquid; 25-35 parts of ether type polycarboxylic acid slump retaining agent, 20-30 parts of retarder, 0.12-0.18 part of a polyether type defoaming agent, 0.8-1.2 parts of a sustained-release air entraining agent and 760-790 parts of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the raw materials in a proportion; mixing the raw materials except the sustained-release air entraining agent, and performing uniform stirring to obtain a mixed solution; adding the sustained-release air entraining agent into the mixed solution, and performing uniform stirring to obtain a compound water reducer. The compound water reducer can be used for preparing manufactured sand concrete and has the advantages of effectively promoting the work performance and strength of the manufactured sand concrete. Furthermore, the preparation method is simple and efficient, has the advantage ofrelatively low preparation cost, and is applicable to volume production.
