The invention belongs to the technical field of building materials, and particularly relates to a modified polyether water reducer as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The modified polyether water reducer is prepared from the following raw materials: ethylene oxide-propylene oxide block polyether, unsaturated polyoxyethylene ether, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid-beta-hydroxyethyl phosphate and maleic anhydride. The modified polyether water reducer has the characteristics of high water reducing rate, good viscosity reducing effect and the like, can obviously prolong the rewinding time of the expansion degree of UHPC when being applied to a UHPC system, does not influence the later strength of the UHPC, and does not involve high-temperature and high-pressure reactions in the preparation process.
