The steel truss girder segment comprises two upper chord sets and two lower chord sets, each upper chord set comprises two upper chords, and each lower chord set comprises two lower chords; and one or more vertical web rods are arranged between the upperchord and the lower chord on each side, the two ends of the vertical web rods are connected with the upper chords and the lower chords respectively, the vertical web rods divide the upper chords andthe lower chords into first cantilevers and second cantilevers, and the length of the first cantilevers is larger than that of the second cantilevers. During erecting, a girder erection crane is driven to the vertical web rod on the outermost side of the erected steel truss girder segment, the length of the second cantilevers is shortened, the extending distance of the girder erection crane is increased, the length of the cantilever of the girder erection crane can be reduced, the girder erection crane is lighter, and the weight of the girder erection crane is reduced. The problem that when anexisting steel truss girder segment is erected, a huge girder erection crane is needed, thus a heavier and stronger steel truss girder segment is needed, and vicious circle is caused can be solved.
