The invention discloses an underwater robot for cleaning the bottom wall of a swimming pool. The underwater robot comprises a robot body, a first motor with a downward output shaft is fixedly arrangedin the top wall of the robot body, a power shaft extending up and down is fixedly arranged at the tail end of the output shaft of the first motor, and a lifting belt wheel cavity is formed in the topwall of the robot body; and the end, away from the first motor, of the power shaft penetrates through the lifting belt wheel cavity, and a lifting main gear is fixedly arranged on the outer surface.According to the underwater robot, through gear engagement and disengagement and shaft engagement and disengagement, after the robot stops, a cleaning device ascends and descends, meanwhile, the partneeding to be cleaned is sealed and covered, then water is pumped, the bottom wall of the swimming pool at the sealing position is cleaned through a lead screw nut and a cam sliding block, and meanwhile a push rod is adopted for pushing a spline sleeve to move and cooperates with another push rod fixed to the spline sleeve to achieve the work process of firstly absorbing water and then achieving washing.
