The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out ball milling, dry pressing molding and cold isostatic pressing molding on a high-purity Y2O3 raw material to obtain a biscuit, and sequentially carrying out vacuum sintering, hot isostatic pressing sintering andhydrogen atmosphere heat treatment. Compared with the traditional air or oxygen heat treatment process, higher visible light transmittance can be achieved through the hydrogen atmosphere heat treatment. The visible light transmittance of the ceramic reaches up to 80%.
