The invention discloses a soil-retaining and water-retaining steel plate wall applied to old building dismantling, reconstruction and separation and a construction method thereof. The method is applied to construction of the steel plate wall. The soil-retaining and water-retaining steel plate wall applied to old building dismantling, reconstruction and separation comprises a steel plate wall body, wherein the steel plate wall body comprises a steel frame, steel plates and inclined supports; the steel plates are fixedly mounted on the steel frame and fully paved on the steel frame; the upper ends of the inclined supports are fixedly connected with the steel frame; the lower ends of the inclined supports and the steel frame are fixedly connected with the ground; an asphalt coiled material is paved on the steel plate wall body; and a waterproof coating is arranged on the asphalt coiled material. The whole steel plate wall is formed by splicing and welding steel parts and fixedly connected with the ground, has high bearing capacity and can resist various impacts during dismantling construction; and meanwhile, the asphalt coiled material and the waterproof coating are arranged on the steel plate wall body, so that the steel plate wall has the effects of dust isolation, noise reduction, water isolation and sealing, the construction period is short, and dismantling is convenient.
