The invention relates to a prestressed concrete rectangular pile and a construction method thereof. The prestressed concrete rectangular pile comprises a concrete pile body (1) with a rectangular cross section, the concrete pile body (1) is of a hollow thin-wall structure, a hollow hole (2) is formed in the middle of the concrete pile body (1), and prestressed steel strands (3), stirrups (4) and grouting holes (5) are arranged in the concrete pile body (1); an upper flange plate (7) is arranged at the top of the concrete pile body (1), and a pile shoe (6) or a lower flange plate (8) is arranged at the bottom of the concrete pile body (1). The cross section of the prestressed concrete rectangular pile is in a hollow rectangle shape, and the horizontal load bearing capacity of a rectangular section form is better than that of a circular section form, so that the bending rigidity of a support pile is improved, the material consumption can be saved, and the engineering cost is saved.
