The invention relates to the field of concrete, and particularly discloses recycled concrete and a preparation method thereof. The recycled concrete is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: cement, slag powder, fly ash, modified recycled coarse aggregate, river sand, an additive and water, wherein the modified recycled coarse aggregate is prepared from waste concrete through crushing and screening, chemical coating and physical strengthening. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the cement, the slag powder, the fly ash, the modified recycled aggregate, the river sand, the additive and the water, conducting uniform stirring, pouring the formed mixture into a mold, and carrying out curing to obtain the recycled concrete. According to the invention, crack holes in the surface of the recycled coarse aggregate can be filled, and the mechanical property of the recycled concrete is prevented from being affected by excessive water absorption of the recycled coarse aggregate.
