The invention discloses a welt cleaning method for an outdoor unmanned sweeper. The welt cleaning method is used for cleaning a welt environment under the condition that curbs are arranged outdoors. The method comprises the steps of linear feature extraction in two-dimensional laser radar data, curb recognition based on linear features of road boundaries, redundant curb recognition based on laser radar reflectivity and welt vehicle control based on curb features. According to the method, the distance between the unmanned sweeper and the curb can be automatically corrected, cleaning is carried out along the edge, and the unmanned sweeper is prevented from colliding with the curb.
