The invention discloses a roller protection material for optimizing a ceramic rock plate and a preparation method of the roller protection material. The roller protection material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 67-77 parts of alpha-aluminum oxide, 15-20 parts of modified silicon dioxide, 1-7 parts of calcium dioxide, 0.3-0.7 part of magnesium oxide, 0.3-0.7 part of sodium oxide, 0.3-0.7 part of potassium oxide and 83.9-106.1 parts of rubber roller printing oil. The roller protection material prepared by the invention can adapt to high-temperature fast firing and high-temperature chemical reaction to form a mullite refractory material, repels a vitrified liquid phase during high-temperature melting of a ceramic green body, and covers and shields the vitrified liquid phase at the bottom of the ceramic green body, so that the bottom of a rock plate blank is effectively protected, the firing range is widened, the ceramic green body is enabled to run better on a roller, the roller is protected from crusting and nailing, the problem related to the flatness of the rock plate in the firing process is solved, and the replacement cost for maintaining the roller can be remarkably reduced through the protective layer.
