The oversized high-alumina ceramic ball is prepared from the following components by mass: 90-96% of Al2O3 powder, 2-6% of CaCO3 powder, 1-3% of SrO2 powder and 0.5-2% of kaolin. The preparation method of the oversized high-alumina ceramic ball comprises the steps of ball milling, agent adding and stirring, high-position injection molding, fettling, microwave drying, high-temperature sintering and polishing. According to the invention, the preparation process is simple, the requirement for equipment is low, and the prepared high-alumina ceramic ball is large in size, compact in matrix, free of holes, smooth and clean in appearance, free of defects such as spots, bubbles and adhesion damage, not prone to cracking in the drying and sintering process and high in yield.
