The invention provides a multipurpose frame for door and window installation and an installation method thereof. The multipurpose frame for door and window installation comprises a multifunctional auxiliary frame fixed to a wall body, wherein the outer side of the multifunctional auxiliary frame is wrapped with a supporting frame and an installation frame, the supporting frame is fixedly connected with the indoor side of the multifunctional auxiliary frame, and the installation frame is fixedly connected with the outdoor side of the multifunctional auxiliary frame; the supporting frame is detachably connected with the installation frame, and the multifunctional auxiliary frame is further fixedly connected with the installation frame through first sealant. The installation method comprises the steps that firstly, the multifunctional auxiliary frame is fixed to the wall body or an old frame body through expansion bolts; the installation frame is fixed on the multifunctional auxiliary frame; the supporting frame is inserted and fixed on the installation frame and is fixedly connected with the multifunctional auxiliary frame; and finally, the installation frame, the supporting frame and the multifunctional auxiliary frame are fixedly connected. The door and window refitting efficiency is improved, manpower, material resources and time cost needed by refitting are saved, the multifunctional auxiliary frame is additionally arranged, the structure is firmer, the wind load resistance is improved, and the anti-seismic performance is improved.
