The invention relates to a parallel four-main-cable cable-crossing crane and a using method thereof. The parallel four-main-cable cable-crossing crane comprises two on-cable supporting and walking systems, two hoisting systems, a main truss (8) and a control system, and the two on-cable supporting and walking systems are arranged at the two ends of the main truss (8) in parallel through the hoisting systems respectively. When the parallel four-main-cable cable-crossing crane is used for the suspension bridge with the main cables in the form of the parallel four main cables and double main cables arranged on one side in parallel, the main cables are balanced in stress, the overall structure is light in self weight, high in stability, high in controllability and high in self-adaptive capacity, and the hoisting operation difficulty of the oversized-span suspension bridge is reduced.
