The invention discloses a vault supporting method for building construction. The method comprises the following steps that 1, a device is arranged below a vault to be supported; 2, adjustment is carried out on the device, and the size of the upper end face of the device is basically the same as that of the vault; 3, the device is started to ascend the device to support the vault; and 4, a construction device of the device is started so that the worker can carry out the required construction operation. The device has the advantages that supporting can be carried out, so that the supporting position makes full contact with the vault. The device comprises a movable supporting base, adjusting assemblies, supporting assemblies, the arc-shaped vault, a middle end limiting connecting plate and a lifting construction assembly, the supporting assemblies are fixedly connected to the upper end of the movable supporting base, the lifting construction assembly is fixedly connected to the upper end of the movable supporting base, and the two supporting assemblies are rotationally connected to the two adjusting assemblies correspondingly.
