The ecological river channel construction method comprises the following steps that turbulent flow assemblies are installed on the two sides of a river channel at intervals in the water flow direction in the river channel, so that triangular areas are formed by correspondingly enclosing the turbulent flow assemblies and river banks on the same sides; the triangular area is filled with planting soil, and the part, close to the multiple turbulent flow assemblies, of the triangular area is filled with gravel; the turbulent flow assemblies are used for forming a first sediment deposition area at the upstream of the triangular area, forming a second sediment deposition area at the downstream of the triangular area and forming a river channel erosion area in the river channel right opposite to the triangular area in the water flow direction in the river channel under the action of hydraulic power; and the first sediment deposition area and the second sediment deposition area are both used for fixing river sediment, and the river erosion area is used for forming a benthic organism and fish habitat with a vertical natural gradient. The ecological river channel construction method can achieve the restoration effect of riverway water environment pollution.
