The invention discloses a construction process of a modified asphalt pavement surface layer. The process comprises the following steps: constructing a pavement surface layer through a paver, wherein the step of constructing the pavement surface layer through the paver comprises the following steps: firstly, stirring the modified asphalt in a stirring device of the paver; then transporting the stirred modified asphalt to a second discharge port of the paver through a transportation device of the paver, and placing the modified asphalt on a surface layer of a construction pavement; then compacting the modified asphalt by using a road pressing mechanism of the paver; and finally, repeating the operation until the thickness of the modified asphalt layer reaches the preset thickness required by the process, and completing construction of the pavement surface layer. Asphalt used for construction is changed into modified asphalt, and the modified asphalt is compacted for multiple times by using a paver, and the technical problem that one-time forming of asphalt pavement construction easily causes process quality problems and the like is solved.
