The invention discloses a flange type steel box arch foot consolidation structure which comprises an arch ring foundation and an arch ring head arch section, arch support reinforced concrete is arranged between the arch ring foundation and the arch ring head arch section, and a lower flange plate is arranged in the arch support reinforced concrete; an upper flange plate is fixedly arranged at the bottom of the arch ring head arch section, and the upper flange plate is embedded in the top of the arch support reinforced concrete; an arch hinge structure is arranged between the upper flange plate and the lower flange plate, and the upper flange plate and the lower flange plate are correspondingly and evenly provided with a plurality of bolt holes and connected with high-strength bolt assemblies. The invention further discloses a construction method of the consolidation structure. By means of the structure, the problems that according to an existing arch ring welding extension consolidation scheme, welding operation is difficult, welding deformation is too large, welding residual stress is uncontrollable, arch seat concrete is prone to being burnt, and then durability is affected can be effectively solved, only part of high-strength bolt assemblies are additionally arranged, and other structural materials are not added, and the lower seat plate and the arch ring of the arch hinge structure can be consolidated.
