The invention provides a rotary knob type electronic coded lock as well as a code locating method and an unlocking method and device. The rotary knob type electronic coded lock comprises a conductive part and a code disc, wherein the conductive part can rotate relative to the code disc; a plurality of contact groups are arranged on the code disc at intervals along a rotating path of relative rotation of the conductive part and the code disc, each contact group comprises at least two contacts, and the at least two contacts are sequentially arranged along the rotating path; and the conductive part can be coupled and electrically connected with the contacts during rotation. Therefore, the absolute position of a rotary knob can be identified according to the conduction sequence of the contacts by using gaps among the contact groups as code input positions and coding the contacts in the contact groups, so that when the code is input, the power consumption of the coded lock can be greatly reduced due to the fact that the rotary knob stays in the gaps of the contact groups; and the coded lock has the characteristics of low cost and small size.
