The invention discloses an environment-friendly and energy-saving gypsum powder production process capable of effectively utilizing waste heat. The environment-friendly and energy-saving gypsum powder production process comprises the following steps: (1) raw material treatment; (2) preheating; (3) frying; (4) drying and dehydrating; (5) carrying out secondary crushing; and (6) sieving. According to the environment-friendly and energy-saving gypsum powder production process capable of effectively utilizing the waste heat, high-temperature gas generated when raw materials are calcined is recycled, and is used for subsequent dehydration operation of semi-hydrated gypsum, so that the semi-hydrated gypsum is prevented from being dehydrated and dried by using new heat energy, and the device realizes energy conservation; raw materials needed by production, the production process and products generated in the production process cannot damage the surrounding environment, so that the production process of the gypsum powder completely meets the environment-friendly requirement, a pressure cooker is preheated firstly by the method, and atmospheric pressure saturated superheated steam and hot dry gas are sequentially introduced in the production process; and the produced semi-hydrated gypsum is in an a crystal form, and the strength of the produced gypsum powder is effectively improved.
