The invention discloses neutron radiation prevention boron carbide concrete and a preparation method thereof. The neutron radiation prevention boron carbide concrete comprises the following components in parts by weight: 383 parts of fine aggregate; 1142 parts of coarse aggregate; 175 to 180 parts of water; a water reducing agent the weight of which is 1%-1.2% of that of a gel material; 295 to 325 parts of cement; 46 parts of fly ash; 86 parts of slag powder; 220 to 300 parts of boron carbide. The method comprises the following steps: sequentially pouring the coarse aggregate, the fine aggregate, the fly ash and the slag powder into a stirring tank; sequentially pouring boron carbide and cement into the stirring tank; starting the stirring tank, and stirring for a second set time; pouring the water and the water reducing agent into the stirring tank; starting the stirring tank, and continuously stirring according to a set stirring speed for a third set time. The boron carbide is used as a shielding and control material of the concrete, so that the volume weight of the concrete can be reduced on the premise of ensuring the radiation protection performance of the concrete under the condition of using conventional fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, and the concrete can be ensured to have relatively good flowability and pumpability.
