A position identification system according to the present invention is provided with: a parameter detection unit (20) for detecting a posture for identifying a construction machine to be identified; a posture information generation unit (32) that generates, on the basis of the parameters, posture information relating to the posture of the construction machine to be identified; an imaging device (40) for acquiring an image including a plurality of construction machines in the work site; a posture estimation unit (52) that estimates the posture of each of the plurality of construction machines on the basis of the image and generates posture estimation information relating to the estimated posture; a construction machine specifying unit (61) that specifies a construction machine corresponding to the orientation information among the plurality of construction machines by comparing the orientation information with the orientation estimation information; and an information output unit (62) that, on the basis of the image, generates and outputs position information relating to the identified position of the construction machine.
