The invention discloses a lightweight high-strength gypsum plaster board which comprises a gypsum board body, a paper body, a glass fiber mesh and a decorative paper surface, and the glass fiber mesh is arranged between the paper body and the decorative paper surface to form a paper surface body. The production process of the light high-strength gypsum plaster board is characterized by comprising the following steps: (1) preparing raw materials; the waterproof paper is prepared from desulfurized gypsum, paper pulp, a foaming agent, a retarder, modified starch, water, a coagulant, lightweight aggregate, a paper body, a decorative paper surface, a glass fiber net, latex and waterproof liquid. During processing, the paper pulp and the lightweight aggregate are added, the strength of the gypsum board is increased while the weight of the gypsum board is not affected, the effects of light weight and high strength are achieved, the glass fiber mesh is arranged on the inner side of the paper surface, the quality of the paper surface can be enhanced through the glass fiber mesh, and the paper surface achieves the waterproof effect through soaking of the waterproof liquid.
