The invention relates to a method for releasing rotary braking of rotary construction machinery. The construction machinery comprises a hydraulic lock main switch; a rotation operation handle; the rotary motor is used for driving an upper vehicle body of the engineering machinery to rotate relative to a lower vehicle body; the controller is electrically connected with the hydraulic lock main switch so as to receive a signal from the hydraulic lock main switch, is electrically connected with the rotary operation handle so as to receive a position signal from the rotary operation handle, and is electrically connected with the rotary motor so as to send a rotary brake release signal to the rotary motor; the method comprises the steps of judging whether the hydraulic lock is unlocked; judging whether the engineering machinery works on a slope or on a flat ground; judging whether a rotary operation handle is in a neutral position or not, and when it is judged that the engineering machine conducts slope operation, releasing rotary braking of a rotary motor when the hydraulic lock is released and the rotary operation handle is not in the neutral position; and when the hydraulic lock is not released or the rotary operation handle is in the middle position, the rotary motor is kept in a rotary braking state.
