The invention relates to the technical field of building construction, and discloses a method for excavating and breaking the middle of a defective cast-in-place pile. Comprising the following construction steps that S1, a drilling positioning machine is moved to the position above the defective cast-in-place pile, and the drilling positioning machine is fixed; s2, a positioning mechanism is started, and the drilling position is determined according to the diameter of the defective cast-in-place pile; s3, a drilling mechanism is started, water mill drilling is conducted, and a through annular space is formed through communication; s4, a detection core-pulling hole is reserved in a concrete column in the middle of the defective cast-in-place pile, and a plurality of drill holes are additionally formed through a pneumatic hammer machine; s5, a hammer head and a steel wedge are arranged in the outer ring water mill drill hole, so that the concrete column is separated from the concrete body of the pile body; s6, the block concrete is hoisted out of the hole through a winch and a hoisting hopper; s7, after concrete of the pile body of the defective pile on the top layer is chiseled away, construction of the next layer is conducted; and S8, repeating the step of breaking the middle concrete column after the water milling and drilling occlusion annular coring until the defect position is excavated.
