The invention belongs to the technical field of household garbage sanitary landfill anti-seepage system treatment, and particularly relates to a novel anti-seepage adsorption lining for a loess area garbage landfill and application of the novel anti-seepage adsorption lining. The anti-seepage adsorption lining is composed of 70%-85% of loess, 10% of attapulgite and 5%-20% of auxiliary materials, wherein the auxiliary materials are lime or cement. The preparation method of the anti-seepage adsorption lining comprises the following steps: preparing the loess, the attapulgite and the auxiliary materials according to the optimal water content, and carrying out layered filling and compaction to reach the maximum dry density, so as to obtain the anti-seepage adsorption lining. The attapulgite is adopted to modify the loess, the optimal ratio of the attapulgite to the loess is researched, and finally the novel composite lining with seepage-proofing and adsorption functions is prepared. The invention provides a novel impermeable composite material with low price for construction of the refuse landfill in the loess area, and the cost of impermeable treatment of the refuse landfill is greatly reduced.
