Textured boride/silicon nitride composite ceramic as well as preparation method and application thereof
The invention belongs to the technical field of non-oxide-based ceramics, and discloses a textured boride/silicon nitride composite ceramic as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The composite ceramic is prepared by the following steps: carrying out ball milling on alpha-Si3N4 powder, a sintering aid MgO-Re2O3 and a transition metal boride to obtain mixed powder, heating the mixed powder to 1450-1550 DEG C in an argon atmosphere, carrying out heat preservation, axially pressurizing to 10-50 MPa in the heat preservation process, and carrying out spark plasma sintering to obtain a green body; and carrying out spark plasma sintering on the green body at 1550-1650 DEG C in an argon atmosphere. The low-temperature twice spark plasma sintering is adopted, and the transition metal boride is introduced into the silicon nitride ceramic, so that compared with the traditional textured silicon nitride ceramic prepared at high temperature, the hardness of the textured silicon nitride ceramic is improved by 30-40% under the condition of maintaining the preferred orientation of strength and toughness, and the textured silicon nitride ceramic can be applied to the field of cutter cutting.
本发明属于非氧化物基陶瓷技术领域,公开了一种具有织构化的硼化物/氮化硅复合陶瓷及其制备方法和应用。该复合陶瓷是将α‑Si3N4粉、烧结助剂MgO‑Re2O3和过渡金属硼化物经过球磨得到混合粉体,将该混合粉体在氩气气氛下,升温至1450~1550℃并保温,保温过程中轴向加压为10~50MPa,经放电等离子烧结制得生坯;将生坯在氩气气氛下,1550~1650℃经放电等离子烧结制得。本发明采用低温两次放电等离子烧结,通过向氮化硅陶瓷中引入过渡金属硼化物,与传统高温制得的织构化氮化硅陶瓷相比,在保持强度韧性的择优取向情况下的硬度提升了30~40%,可应用在刀具切削领域中。
