The invention discloses a large-stroke adjusting method and system for a supporting device. The large-stroke adjusting method comprises the following steps that the adjusting height value needed by the supporting device is determined; according to the single-time maximum allowable adjustment value of the adjustment mechanism and the adjustment height value in S1, the number of adjustment times is determined; the height of the supporting device is increased through the adjusting mechanism, and the height adjusting amount is smaller than or equal to the maximum allowable adjusting value; a temporary support is installed on the side face of the supporting device, and the temporary support is tightly attached to the upper structure and the lower structure; the height of the supporting device is reduced by the adjusting mechanism, so that the height of the supporting device is reduced to the position before the previous height adjustment or the minimum allowable height value, and the space between the supporting device and the upper component is filled with a base plate; the adjusting mechanism finely adjusts the height of the supporting device until the supporting device reaches the set elevation, and the adjusting mechanism is locked; and taking out the temporary support to finish adjustment. According to the invention, one-time height adjustment is realized by multiple times of height adjustment, and each time of height adjustment is in a maximum allowable adjustment value range, so that the safety of the structure is greatly ensured by multiple times of height adjustment.
