Vehicle with obstacle avoidance door
The invention provides a vehicle with an obstacle avoidance door. A vehicle with motorized door assist includes: a plurality of motorized doors, each motorized door having an actuator for moving the door between a closed door position and an open door position; and a plurality of sensors located on the vehicle for sensing objects in the vicinity of the vehicle, the objects including one or more potential passengers expected to enter the vehicle, and for sensing obstacles within or near a swing path of at least one of the plurality of electrically operated doors. The vehicle also includes a controller that determines an estimated weight of the one or more potential passengers, determines an expected height of the plurality of motorized doors using the estimated weight added to the vehicle, a height of the sensed obstacle within the swing path of one of the electrically operated gates is detected and a determination is made as to whether an expected height of the electrically operated gate will be disturbed by the sensed obstacle in the swing path.

The invention provides a vehicle with an obstacle avoidance door.
