The invention relates to an exposed waterborne polyurethane waterproof coating as well as a preparation method and a construction method thereof. The coating is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 350 to 500 parts of waterborne polyurethane dispersion, 0.5 to 2 parts of hydroxyethyl cellulose, 5 to 15 parts of dispersing agent, 4 to 7 parts of defoaming agent, 0.3 to 1 part of pH regulator, 10 to 50 parts of rutile titanium dioxide, 300 to 450 parts of filler, 4 to 10 parts of coalescing agent, 1 to 3 parts of preservative, 0.3 to 2 parts of polyurethane thickening agent, 90 to 110 parts of deionized water, 10 to 20 parts of modified shell powder and 10 to 50 parts of light thermal insulation material. 10 to 50 parts of a flame retardant; the modified shell powder is obtained by modifying shell powder with 5-10% of HCl and 5-10% of HF. The acid-modified shell powder is introduced, and a CaF2 acid-resistant and alkali-resistant insoluble shell is formed on the surface of the acid-modified shell powder, so that the weather resistance and acid and alkali resistance of the coating are improved; meanwhile, the waterborne polyurethane dispersion and surface hydroxyl groups of the modified shell powder can form hydrogen bonds, so that a high-strength net-shaped cross-linking system is formed, and the stability of the coating is greatly improved; in addition, based on the porous characteristic of the modified shell powder, the heat insulation property of the coating is also improved.
